Baked Apple Dessert

In my effort to eat better, I have been attempting to find delicious and healthy ways to get in sweets.

Tonight, I baked apples. They look like mush so a picture would not do them justice.

I made a small bit so if they were bad, I wouldn't waste too much.

1 Apple
Apple Sauce
Cinnamon
Nut Meg
Oats
Honey
Vanilla Paste
Coconut oil.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and core apple. I don't have any formal measurements. I just kind of did everything to taste on this dish. Melt some coconut oil with honey and vanilla paste. Or extract. Whatever.

In a bowl, combine apple sauce, oil, honey, vanilla, nutmeg, oats and cinnamon.

Cover your apple with the mixture then tin foil and bake at 400 for about 30 minutes.

It's pretty easy, incredibly delicious, and what I would consider "healthy." I used honey obviously in lieu of sugar, and in lieu of butter, I used coconut oil.

If you've never heard of vanilla paste, it's amazing! One of the top 5 things I have in my kitchen. It is thick and has little flakes of vanilla bean in it. It makes me feel like my food is more fancy.

Anywho, this tasted similar to apple pie filling. If I ever get the gumption, maybe I'll make my coach a pie. He loves apple pie.

Ok good night and enjoy!

Sarah

Thanks for sharing. My go to desert while im dieting is broiled bananas over low fat frozen yogurt .just slice. A banana diagonal with the skin still intact. .sprinkle a little brown sugar on top and broil the banana in the oven for about 4. Minutes. .serve over the banana.. you will love it
