I love writing weightlifting song parodies. It doesn't get much feed back but, for the purposes of humoring myself, I will keep on writing these.
This one is called, "He's the reason for the Sweatdrops on my Bar." This talks about my coach.
Jessica might not be friends with me after reading this. Taylor Swift is her soul sister. Enjoy my country-pop blasphemy.
Joe walks by me
I fake a set so he won't see
That 'lil rest I'm needin'
Between every rep for me
I'll bet I'm better than
That girl he coaches now
And she's got the strength
That I have to lift without
Joe talks to me
I laugh 'cause it's just not funny
I can't even see
A reason why he coaches me
He says he knows what's best
He's finally got it right
I wonder if he knows
He's why I'm tired at night
He's the reason for the sweat drops on my bar
The only one that gets me strong enough to lift a car.
He's the voice in my head I keep hearing
Don't know why I do
Joe walks by me
Can he tell that I can't breathe?
And there he goes, so commandingly
Telling me how many reps there needs to be
I better hold him tight
Give him all I've got
Look in those fearful eyes
And know I'm lucky 'cause
He's the reason for the sweat drops on my bar
The only one that gets me strong enough to lift a car.
He's the song in the gym I hear o'er again
Don't know why I do
So I drive home alone
As I turn out the light
I'll put his workout down
And maybe get some sleep tonight
He's the reason for the sweat drops on my bar
The only one that gets me strong enough to lift a car.
He's the voice in my head I keep hearing
Don't know why I do
He's the time taken up
but there's never enough
And he's all that I need to lift the most
Joe looks at me
I fake a rep so he won't see
